My name is Patrycja Churinova. I have a Master’s Degree in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology from the University of East London. The topic of my dissertation was exploring the subjective experience of wellbeing by women following the ketogenic diet. I am highly interested in the food-wellbeing connection and metabolic psychiatry, and have completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Dietetics and Nutrition Planning.

I am an accredited Coach and Mentor. I am accredited by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC), and have a Certificate in Counselling Skills. My background is in psychology and I finished my BSc in Psychology at the University of Roehampton in London in 2014. I am also a member of the British Psychology Society (BPS). Additionally, I have a Diploma in Childcare and Education, and for almost 15 years owned and ran a childcare business in London, working with children under the age of 5. I supported their parents on areas such as children’s health, development, and nutrition.

My main interest is in the connection between psychological wellbeing, health, and nutrition. I believe that the approach to health should be holistic, and each person should be treated individually as we are all different. I am fascinated by how our gut health influences our mental and physical health. I am very interested in biohacking, chronobiology, metabolic flexibility, and how our lifestyle affects our everyday functioning and connections with others. Our lifestyle and our food choices also guide our relationship with ourselves.

I have been following a low-carb and ketogenic lifestyle since January 2020. My family and I are on an animal-based diet. We eat highly nutritious and seasonal food. We take care of the daily rhythm, our mitochondria, physical activity, and family time.

I believe that the human body is an ideal machine that works with masterfully crafted precision, as long as it is not disturbed. Using my knowledge of psychology, positive psychology, and the latest research and discoveries in health and nutrition, I would like to help you increase your satisfaction with life, boost your self-esteem, and help you fulfill your potential. I would like to take you on a journey beyond family and cultural beliefs and beyond stereotypes.

I sincerely believe in a world where people support each other. A world where successive generations are brought up consciously and in a sensible and reliable way. A world in which each family takes responsibility for the health of their members and where family is a strong and unshakable social structure.

    Coaching is a process in which, by skillfully asking questions, the Coach can facilitate the Client’s learning process. Coaching is about unlocking your potential to maximise your potential and development. Coaching enhances well-being and gives you clarity about your own goals and your life’s direction. The Coach does not give advice and does not impart knowledge.

    Unfortunately, many people just call themselves “coaches” and are not accredited by any professional body nor have a psychological background. Therefore, I beg you – be careful when looking for a Coach.

    I am a Coaching psychologist and have a background in psychology. I have counselling skills and I am a very empathic person. All these will help me to understand your emotions, recognise potential thinking distortions, and build strong and effective coach-coachee relationships. 

    I am a European Mentoring & Coaching Council’s (EMCC) accredited Coach and Mentor and member of the EMCC. I am a member of the British Psychology Association (BPS). I follow the EMCC’s Global Code of Ethics and the BPS’s Code of Ethics and Conduct. I am insured and registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), with me, you are in good hands.

    Positive psychology is a new field of psychology. Instead of relying on the “disease model,” it encourages us to consider the positive aspects of life. Positive psychology is the scientific study of people’s wellbeing, flourishing, and what makes life worth living. It is the study of happiness, optimism, subjective wellbeing, and personal growth. Well-being is a multidimensional construct where individuals’ prosperity, welfare, and success are affected by factors such as health (mind and body), culture, relationships, society, values, morals, religion, income, or marital status.

    Positive psychological interventions are evidence-based tools that can promote and treat mental health and reduce depressive symptoms and low mood. Positive psychology interventions are great tools for enhancing your wellbeing and enabling you to take responsibility for your emotional health. In the face of post-pandemic challenges and current economic and geopolitical concerns, positive psychology has become even more important.

    Positive psychology is not looking at the world through “rose-tinted glasses”. It is also not psychotherapy and does not cure mental disorders and difficulties. If, during our sessions, it turns out that you need the help of a psychologist or psychiatrist, then I will refer you to such a specialist.

    It is a so-called “Chemistry Session” during which we will both introduce ourselves and find out whether there is a good energetic “fit” between us. The introduction session takes 30 – 45 minutes and is free of charge and non-obligatory. We can speak by phone or meet on Zoom. If we are on the same wavelength, we will establish the terms of our professional relationship.

    1) We will meet each other during your Initial Free Session.

    2) Depending on your situation and depending on whether you need coaching, mentoring, or positive psychology consultations, a personalised plan will be created to suit your individual needs.

    3) A Contract will be created and signed to establish the terms of our professional relationship.
